The Public Works Department is involved in activities relating to planning, designing, operating, maintaining, and managing public ways and infrastructure, the maintenance of park lands, open space, public grounds and buildings, town cemeteries, water distribution systems, sewer and drain collection systems, and the collection and disposal of solid waste and recycling. The department also maintains municipal motor equipment and the Town’s street tree inventory.
