Walking is a great way to get around. It is healthy, sustainable, fun, and tends to be cheaper than driving. To your left, there are some walking-related resources.
Crossing Major Streets Map
The Crossing Major Streets Map shows the locations of crosswalks across busy streets in the City of Watertown.

Crossing Major Streets Map (PDF)
Crosswalk Locations Across Major Streets on Watertown (RTF) lists the locations of crosswalks across many of Watertown’s busiest streets. You can use this file to learn where MBTA bus and Watertown Connector Shuttle stops are, how to connect to major parks and landmarks nearby to the crosswalks, and to help navigate across Watertown, including notes about safety. Each crosswalk is noted as controlled by a traffic light or not, which you can use to choose which location to cross along the street you are traversing along.
The Crossing Major Streets Map will be updated annually in the spring to reflect newly redesigned streets.
