Permitting for Fields, Courts, Track, and Outdoor Rinks

The Watertown Recreation Department accepts permit applications for use of fields, courts, tracks, outdoor rinks, picnic areas, and other outdoor facilities from Watertown Public Schools, youth leagues, adult teams, private schools, and community organizations.

To improve efficiency and streamline the process, we strongly encourage all applicants to utilize our new online, paperless permit system through Rec Technologies. This system allows users to submit requests, view availability, and manage reservations digitally.

While fillable PDF permit applications remain available, our online system is the preferred and most efficient method for submitting requests.

We have a new Picnic Table Permit Application (attached) where we combined both Arsenal Park and Filippello Park into one- so anywhere we have the permit now we need to delete the old one and replace it with this one (attached)

We are still accepting paper applications if you cannot complete the online request to book via Rec Technologies. You can Fill out the application completely and email it to the Recreation Department.

Permits are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note:

Picnic permit applications must be received at least 5-7 business days prior to your event.

Permits will be issued on a draft basis and are not valid until full payment is received.
